Download 2010

AC/DC for Download, not exactly breaking news as it has been rumoured since last years event. But it appears an Admin at acdc.com has let the cat out of the bag according to nme.com ...

30 years of Donington, wow! Remember going in '82 the third one, some good memories and some bad, but wow! 30 years how time flies when you are enjoying yourself!

well Andy Copping has been saying it's going to be big - which it has to be to rival the already great Sonisphere line-up that has been announced...

RE: Download 2010

From http://www.totalrock.com

"AC/DC are to be one of the headliners at the Download Festival this year, although which night has yet to be announced. The event happens at Donington from June 11-13. Also confirmed to play are the Stone Temple Pilots, Wolfmother, Them Crooked Vultures, Motorhead, Megadeth, Bullet For My Valentine, Deftones and Volbeat. The capacity is to be increased for the festival. This marks the 30th anniversary of Donington being used as major rock and metal festival site, firstly for Monsters Of Rock (where 'DC headlined in 1981, 1984 and 1991) and more latterly for Download. Weekend tickets go on sale from 9am on January 29."

It's a great line-up already...just wish I liked standing in a field for 3 days!

RE: Download 2010

Aerosmith (with Steve Tyler' that should be interesting after all the recent stories) and Rage Against The Machine have been added to the bill!

Flags have been banned in the concert arena though!!

As for standing in a field for 3 days in the elements taz, I can cope with it as long as I am not surrounded by another 100,000 people!

RE: Download 2010

Meh, I'm still not even remotely interested in this, even though my bassist is planning to make his stag do a trip to Download. I can't abide the "festival atmosphere/experience", personally and the idea of sitting through bumloads of bands I don't like to listen to the two or three on any lineup that I do like is anathema to me... I'd rather spend more money and time watching those bands individually with decent sound and in better surroundings. But then, I'm a miserable bugger... :p
