Hope you can sort something out Hot Tub although I think that is a bit brave of you to say that you will supply the beer! I hope you have good contacts at the relavent brewery and distillery!
Technical info about the venue can be found here (for those that need to know, hint hint) ...

As I know many of you agree, a Midlands gig is long overdue!
However, whilst The Assembly is indeed a very fine venue, realistically speaking I can't see how GMT can possibly get a gig there - unless it's either as a support or as one of the bands appearing on a bill there, should the opportunity ever arise.
The reason is that the venue has a capacity of 1,000 and (as far as I'm aware) only one room which stages live music.
In my (very humble) opinion, there are several other very good music venues in the Midlands which would be more appropriate and which the band would be better off targetting. Two of the best that I know of are 'The Roadhouse' in Stirchley (Birmingham), and 'The Robin' in Bilston (nr Walsall). Both are well established venues specialising in rock music, and which put on gigs most days of the week. Another which might be worth considering is Cox's Yard in Stratford, although the beer and the price that they typically charge for tickets may be a problem.
Wrt The Robin, I've just found out that Jameson Raid (a cult NWOBHM band from the Midlands) have just announced their comeback gig there, after 28 years away. They will be supported by Handsome Beasts (who GMT have appeared with before), and Agincourt.
I'm not sure if there's any chance of a 4th band (i.e. GMT) getting added to this bill, but it's just the sort of gig that I think the band should be aiming for if they are serious about raising their profile further...and I expect they might well steal the show!
