Happy New Year all!
A precis of the interview ...
Started off with a brief hello!
And straight into Punko Rocco.
Described as a "That'll shake the cobwebs out of your brain" says the interviewer Bernie says a "racket"!
A brief history of GMT ensued and Bernies coming to The UK and playing with Scrapyard and Gillan. An intro of John and Robins involvement "A marriage made in Hell or Heaven".
A bit about the Ozzy period and Bernies other obligations at the time! The Gillan period and was Ian a fun guy to play with? Bernie describes it as a great experience.
There are live bands and studio bands are you happier in the studio or live? Bernie prefers the less produced sound. Evil Twin described as a live album and how the band play. It is just is as it is!
Is it hard Rock, Metal, Punk? Bernie leaves it up to everyone else to pigeon hole it, it is just Rock 'n' Roll Bernie loves all music even Frank Sinatra.
Plays Holy Roller. "Great Stuff!"
Where have you played? Europe?
Bernie answers mainly UK hopefully Europe and The US in the future.
Whats next? Hopefully playing Europe and a new LP and DVD by the end of the year and lots of live recordings.
Interviewier Looked up Bernie on Wikipedia and asked the amount of albums Bernie has played on? The answer "suppose its about 30ish albums".
Who writes the tracks? Bernie answers John and I mainly.
Internet has changed music Bernie agrees comments about myspace and how it makes the band closer to the audience and it's Punk. A good way of hearing new bands and music.
