Thanks! Rog.

Whilst we are in to the mad world of youtube here is the intro to Space 1999, hope I have the right one Mr McCoy?

Can you enlighten us as to who else played on the session?

As to where the visuals come from ,I've no idea.I'll investigate, one day.

Was thinking about the Space 1999 sessions, I think the best thing about that was meeting the legendary Gerry Anderson and wife Sylvia, nice people. The keyboards were played by Barry Gray who also wrote the theme and others for Gerry Andersons productions. I was suffering on the day from more than just a hangover as was Liam the drummer. We recorded it (I think) at Pinewood Film studios with a fifty plus orchestra. Cheers chaps.

Rather than start a Space 1999 thread, I thought I would just carry on here in the 'McCoy Madness' thread.

A little update for you people on my latest discoveries.

You can even listen to some snippets of each track here ...

and buy it if so inclined from Zazzi or Amazon, just go to the respective website and search Space 1999.

Then we'll see which track Mr McCoy was suffering on!

Nice to see Space 1999 again.I also recorded some other pieces as "incidental" music to be used during each show.
The sessions are memorable to me for lots of reasons but the only name I can remember at this time is Liam Genockey on drums.

The sleeve notes say ...

Bass Guitar: John McCoy
Drums: Liam Genockey
Guitar: Vic Elms
Piano: Bob Docker
Sitar: Jim Sullivan

and lots of people on Cello, Clarinet, Horns, Oboe, Percussion, Trombone, Trumpet, Viola and Violins.
