Anyone going to this one?

Robin was putting my arm up my back to go to this one, I may just do so, if I can sort a lift out.

GITS !!!!!

Aye, this was a much better gig than Blackpool, the guys were visibly more relaxed and having a lot of fun. The enthusiasm must have been infectious, since a random guy sporting a natty fedora and a gob-iron (that's a harmonica to most people) decided he was going to jump up and join in...
Needless to say, Rob removed him in short order, amidst the sound of much laughter...
The sound at the venue was a bit hit and miss through the night, with Bernie's vocals not always as clear as would be ideal, but notwithstanding, it was a band firing on all cylinders and as Mike's mentioned, they even treated us to a rendition of "Vincenzo", which was bloody great to hear, tbh...
Good little venue, Hark 2 Towler, though; I'm certainly gonna see about getting a gig there, it's a cool place... That said, there was the obligatory nutter in the gents who when I entered, was regaling our very own Mike Steele with a meandering, obscene story (something to do with jodhpurs, I seem to recall... lol).
Highlights of the night:
Robin dedicating "Cannonball" to me (
);
Bernie's guitar solo blast (every time I hear him tear it up like that, I get closer to buying another strat and trying again to get on with them...
);
Robin's solo/"silly noise" fest (my drummer's face was a picture during this... lol)
The general banter with the band afterwards, having a civilised drink with Mr. McCoy and finally getting pics with the band and Taz.

Told you Taz!! lol

I know I know but I was very very broken after rehearsing on Saturday! Even if we'd gone I probably would have slept through the set! So basically GMT played Vincenzo and I missed it and our house has just been hit by lightning (no, really). What next I wonder?!

What! Even better than the first one and Vincenzo, what could Southend hold for us?

Cheers Mike! Great pictures as always, you coming to The Rock & Blues or did I make that up?

Back on topic, what did you think of the 'Vincenzo' debut?
