After the ropiest intro I've heard in a long time, it's not bad, guitar wise; good riffs, nice tone for that style, playing's great as always. I've always thought that Priest's lyrics were a bit naff, though and I just can't take to Haldford's voice... this hasn't done much to change my mind, in all honesty.

Nice to hear KK Downing and Glenn Tipton ripping it up again, though...Big Grin
Mmmnnn.
Now I must admit of being a fan of this band. I do think some of their stuff can take a while to grow on you.
Take 'Angel of retribution' for instance their last album.
i didn't really rate it that much at first but now after persevering with it I'm so glad i did,I truly think it s a masterpiece.

Anyway this track poor intro for sure.
It just seems to stumble a long even though it sound like slayer (ala 'Show no mercy' and Mercyful fate 'melissa' eras) in 1983.
There's way too much meandering here for my liking.Although I can imagine crowds around the world shouting out 'Nostradamus,Nostradamus,Nostradamus'.
I'm hoping the album is better.
But what great artwork.

Oh yeah, the artwork is totally slammin', to be fair...

Ohhh good lord, I haven't stopped listening to this CD set for two weeks straight now. An amazing release. Definitely out-of-the-box thinking for Priest, but still very much Judas Priest. Many have said this one grows on you, but it nailed me from the beginning.

Me too mate, it's a future classic which I look forward to seeing/hearing performed in it's entirety.

Although there was no WAY I was gonna pay through the nose for the limited edition hardback book version!!
