On Friday July 25th GMT will be joining Fastway, Molly Hatchet and Glenn Hughes & friends on the mainstage at this years Rock & Blues Custom Show.
This year the festival is located at Catton Hall, Walton on Trent, South Derbyshire.

for all the details.
See you down the front
This is a great little festival, one of my favourites. Well I say little but mean around 10-20,000 people.
Although the site has moved from Pentrich to Catton Hall I am sure the atmosphere will remain the same. It is one of the friendliest and safest festivals I have been to and I have been to a few.
GMT it seems will be kicking off the main stage on the Friday with the afore mentioned bands following.
Saturday has Budgie, Hanoi Rocks, Magnum and Blackfoot on the main stage. Two other bands have been announced for The Cross Pistons Saloon, The Dr & The Medics and Dressed To Kill with 7 more bands to be announced.
Tickets are only £35 in advance and £45 on the gate plus £10 to park your car, bikes are free.
So if you are free the weekend of July 25th and 26th come along and welcome GMT back onto the stage they ROCKED last year!
Fantastic news for GMT.
Huge well done for getting on the bill on the main stage.
What we need NOW is a new album, new set list and new merchandise.
The future's bright the future's GMT.
It's a family event, bring them all along.
There is loads to do a custom bike show to see, fairground to go on, stunt bikes to watch, beer belly and best tattoo competitions to take part in and of course the bands to watch.
I have seen all ages there from tots to pensioners attending and everyone seems to enjoy themselves!
Fresh air, beer, bands and the camaraderie make The Rock & Blues one of the best festivals in the country.
They're playing.
And my mother won't let me go!
Like last year, and the year before that...

my 14 year old son had a great time last year, and so did I. like redial said. make your mum come with you, it's a great day out.
Plus we'll all be there to look out for you!

Good to see we have the pleasure of your company this year taz!
India, good luck with talking the folks around. Like we've said this is a very friendly and safe festival.
This years line up is awesome! Hope you and your family can make it.
Hi Steve, I've searched the South Derbyshire Council website, licensing etc and found no evidence of this. That isn't to say there is no truth in what you say, rumours about this have been going around for months. The cancellation of Ink & Iron didn't help!
The RBCS25 forum is offline at the moment which doesn't help either but the last post on this subject there from the admin was positive.
Here is the link to the Councils entertainment licensing page ...

and the relavent email address ...

Let's all think positive and look forward to GMT ROCKING Catton Hall.
Thanks for that Steve, I will as I am sure many others be emailing the licencsing (sic) authority stating my support for the event.
I can only urge that others do the same as we all know what a great event The Rock & Blues is.
Thanks again for the information, my blood is boiling but luckily I have prescribed Ramipril for said condition!
Slightly off topic, but I believe Warwickshire Police are objecting to The Bulldog Bash on the same grounds!
Whats going on in the world, when events are cancelled because something might happen?
If the authorities have evidence, lets see it!
Otherwise lets have the festivals and everyone have some fun.
