Having found the video on you tube of Robin drumming for the above

I have been struggling to find out what this is all about. However some frantic Googling has located this (lifted from oyster house records)

The ‘Swans in Flight’ album is being hailed as an ‘exclusive experience’…marrying a collection
of world-class musicians and musical styles against a backdrop of acoustic guitar.
16 great songs of resounding commercial appeal written and performed by the songwriting
partnership of Hugo Montgomery-Swan and Mark Tucker.

it also features the following artists
Steve Stevens  Doyle Dykes Ken Nicol James Lomenzo Marco Mendoza Martin Barre John Noyce Kip Winger Johnny Mars

allthough I cant find anything else about the album but imo it looks like one to watch out for.
Couple of tunes and a little info at their myspace page, check out ....

Went out looking for their (Swans in Flight) cd today but to no avail, but have just bought it through
http://www.swansinflight.com/
Liking what I am hearing, and have found out that they may well be playing at Beautiful Days and The Rhythm Festival both of which are in my 2008 festival diary.
My copy of the cd turned up yesterday and after a day and a half on my PC or player I would definately give it a thumbs up!
Various styles with nods to (in their own words) "the 1920's jazz scene" and Lizzy and Floyd.
Great songwriting by Hugo Montgomery-Swan and Mark Tucker who I have to admit I had never heard of before.
The contributions from guitarists Steve Stevens (Billy Idol), James LoMenzo (Megadeth), Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy), Martin Barre (Jethro Tull) and the list goes on with drummers including Gary Evans, bass players John Noyce and Kip Winger. Are all outstanding.
The stand out tracks for me are Life's Prize, Miracle, This Poor Boy and Vanish. I found it hard to find a bad track at all.
If you have £12 spare spend it on this ...

If Bernie and John get around to doing an acoustic album they won't find a better drummer than Robin to participate, but they probably already know that!
The Swans have a few dates lined up, a little late for todays show in the sun (!) at Catton Hall. But you might be able to make some of these other ones.

Bicton College - 13th August
Beautiful Days Festival - 16th August
The Rock ‘n’ Roots Festival - 23rd August
Acoustic Expo’ at the London Barbican - 27th & 28th September
London Earls Court BS - 25th November

See http://www.swansinflight.com for all the info.
I've just got back from The London Motor Show. having seen Swans in Flight play two, 30-40 minute sets plus the soundcheck.

*Apologies!* Because I have just read through relavant threads and posts and realise that I haven't mentioned this (advertised) show, anywhere here before, despite knowing about it for a couple of weeks.

The Swans were the first reason we went along, the second was we had free tickets, and the third? Well we had never been before, and it wasn't a bad day out!

The band played 2 sets, the first around 12.30 which was the louder of the two, unfortunately one of the trade stands about a quarter of a mile away complained they were too loud! I won't name them by name as it could lead to a mass boycott of buying French cars that are made by someone beginning with P or was it R? Maybe C? Anyway another set followed around 3.30ish, just a little bit quieter!

Although having had their eponymous album for a while, I can't say that I'm  up to speed with all the tracks. I can say with certainty that they did play 'Bad Boy Erroneous'. But the musicianship and vocals throughout were second to none. Joy Russells backing vocals were great as was Alan Brays bass playing, both Dan Crisps and Hugo Montgomerys guitar and vocals, outstanding.
By the way, it was the Bose stand, so the sound quality was pretty good overall!
Even though Robin was in the corner away to the side of the rest of the band, he still played with all of his usual zest and showmanship. I think at one point there were almost as many people behind him watching, as there were in front of the band.
