A blast from the past! Back to Babylon ~ Torme
Listening to Arabia for the first time in ages was special, wouldn't mind hearing that in the set at some time?

Giving my ears a rest now and chilling out to Easy Star All Stars playing Dub Side of The Moon.
Going to see them next week at The Jazz Cafe in Camden, should be a good night if their last gig at Dingwalls is anything to go by.

Number One Album by Eat This featuring Mr Bernie Torme, Mr Robin Guy, Mr Colin Towns and Mr Paul Fox on certain tracks aswell as Vincenzo Del Amoure (!) and Mr Cliff Wright, amongst others including Angie Brown who has a superb voice on "Cold Coffee & Tears" an awesome track.
Buy it or check out at http://www.eatthis.net/
An excellent rock/folky sounding album with a couple of tracks with an Irish feel.

Just given Waysteds The Harsh Reality a first listen, gave up on hmv.co.uk and the postal service and bought it the old fashioned way and walked into a shop and paid for it with cash.
On first listen I am suitably impressed although I admit to being a little biased. Great tracks from the definative Waysted line up of Fin (vox), Pete Way (bass), Chris George (guitar) and Paul 'RD' Haslain (drums). Stand out songs on the first listen were, well all of them even Handbag & Gladrags sounds good. Some bluesy tracks like It Wasn't Me and Can't Live Without Some Pain but mostly ROCKING great guitar work from Chris George on all of them.
Hope you enjoyed the Boardwalk show last night Fin?

Chrome Dreams II by Neil Young
What can I say? Typically of Young he plays bucket loads of instruments including harmonica, banjo, acoustic & electric guitars and a grand piano.
Also fitted in and played by someone else trombones and saxophones on the excellent track Ordinary People.
It all comes together and makes for another great Neil Young album.

Dug out some vinyl this afternoon, plugged the record player in, remembered to earth it and then had a listen to:
Fastway ~ Fastway
Living on Borrowed Time ~ Diamond Head
Hit & Run ~ Girlschool
Under the Blade ~ Twisted Sister
Rock Until You Drop ~ Raven
Well it is Hard Rock Hell weekend in Minehead. All of them great stuff, even found my autographed 12" of 'We're Not Gonna Take It' from my days as a SMF member.
