Very true to form after the 'iffy' VH2.........Fair Warning was also a screamer, but Diver Down was dire. 1984 marked a return to form but that was it.
no, you and me and the rest of the Van Halen fans are in unison with that one Phil.
I always liked Roths' solo album Eat 'em and Smile as well
After the Nikki Sixx Diaries, its a blast of Girls, Girls, Girls and Dr Feelgood today
After my living in the 80's week with 2 decent Motley Crue CDs, I had this on today...........it was slated as poor, but aside from the cover of 'Smokin' in the Boys Room' and the dreaded ballad, 'Home Sweet Home' I actually like it. Nikki's lyrics are great as usual. I saw 'em at Birmingham Odean Feb 1986 on this tour......an awesome show with the added bonus of Cheap Trick as support. And if ANYONE slags Cheap Trick off, I won't be happy!!

They only looked like that for Dream Police..........as usual, Rick wore his wooley cardigan and baseball cap carrying 3 Hamer guitars, and Bun E ALWAYS looked like a Bank Manager.
Live they are awesome..........studio albums were also decent, aside from a few duffers like The Doctor.
Oh, good to see you playing some punk with SLF......Jake Burns is a favourite of mine
The Clash live..........an excellent bootleg from their residency at Bonds Casino, New York 1981
Today, my neighbours had the pleasure of Shelley and Devito at their finest!

Seeing as I'm seeing Tony James and Mick Jones next month in Ladbrooke Grove, I re-acquainted myself to a burst of their material, The Last Post....not that I need re-acquainting.....more a case of give the speakers a good run as they've been silent for 2 weeks since I got ill
Today, Play.com FINALLY sent my Shout at the Devil CD from Motley Crue, some 6 weeks after I ordered it, so that got a LOUD play today.......not heard it in nearly 15 or so years, it still stands up well today.
ZZ Top - Eliminator (25th Anniversary Edition)

A classic album that still sounds a top notch effort 25 years on. The videos are still amazing to watch as well, especially 'Legs'
